Brooke Leigh Sheldon is a co-founder of The Moments Count Journal, the eMagazine designed to offer opportunities to share the significance found in recognizing the power inherent in every moment we are here and facilitate collaboration on how to create positive change in the world.
Brooke is an innovative thought leader who has an insightful understanding of human motivations and behaviors rising out of her expansive business life, professional experience, unique background, diverse education and eclectic skill base.
The long running co-host of a live daily radio talk show, she has consulted for Fortune 500 companies, individuals and government agencies.
She holds degrees in Psychology, Human Sexuality and Counseling Therapy. Her Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Science’s are from California State University at Northridge and California State University at Dominguez Hills respectively.
Brooke has developed curriculum and provided in instruction in Psychology, Multicultural Education, Diversity Sensitivity, Sociology, Change Management, Human Sexuality, Child Psychology, Conflict Negotiation, Developmental Theory, Death, Dying and the end of life transition, and more.
A social entrepreneur, Brooke has created and managed the operations of her own innovative work training and socially integrative programs and agencies in various locations, serving populations of all ages and wide ranging psychological histories (i.e. survivors of trauma from physical, emotional and/or sexual abuse, special need populations, chronic mental illness, individuals suffering the aftereffects of various types of traumatic brain injuries, etc.).
Additionally, she has been an ongoing change maker, providing expert consultation to states, companies and agencies to deinstitutionalize and mainstream their disabled consumers from large facility care centers, which hinder positive and effective real world adaptation, into intimate small group and individual residential continua within their local communities.
